What is a “ForkLift Deviation” and how do I request one?

When a passenger is unable to get to the bus stop, they have the option of scheduling a deviation. If you are within ¾-mile of the bus route, you are eligible for curbside pick up or drop off. Ride deviations cost an extra $.50 per person. Call at least two hours in advance to schedule.

What is the recommended minimum age for ForkLift?

We recommend that children be at least 12 years old to ride the ForkLift Bus on their own. For children younger our TeleLift schedule ahead service is a better fit and will give them curb to curb service.

Are ForkLift vehicles wheelchair accessible?

Yes, all vehicles are wheelchair accessible, with lifts and secure wheelchair tie-downs for a safe and secure ride.

How do I buy a Forklift bus pass?

Call 402.379.4595 or stop at the North Fork Area Transit Office located in the southwest corner of Norfolk Senior Center at 307 W. Prospect Ave.

Does it cost to transfer buses to get to my destination?

Transfers are free to your next connecting bus. Ask the driver for a transfer ticket (good for 2 hours after issue).

Can I bring my bike on the bus?

Yes! Our riders gain greater flexibility and more options to get to their destination by combining two popular modes of transportation: the bicycle and the bus. Simply load your bicycle on an easy-to-use bike rack mounted securely to the front of our flexroute buses. Remember, you are responsible for loading, securing and unloading your bicycle from the bike rack.
