North Fork Area Transit has been notified by the State of Nebraska Department of Transportation that funding for are transit companies has been reduced by 30% for the coming fiscal year. As a result of this funding decrease, North Fork Area Transit will be changing its Telelift hours of operation and the service area. Commencing July 1, 2025 services will be restricted to the city limits of the City of Norfolk, with exception of the Wayne route. Operating hours will be from 7 am to 5 pm on Monday through Saturday; 8 am through 2 pm on Sunday.

All rides will now be on a first come, first serve basis. Rides must be reserved 24 hours in advance of when your ride is needed. Call 402-379-4595 to reserve a ride or contact NFAT at the office located at 307 Prospect Ave., Norfolk.

This reduction in hours and serve area is necessary in order to continue to fulfill our mission to provide safe, efficient, affordable public transportation to the area residents and visitors in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

PUBLIC NOTICE

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)

 

The RFP seeks auditing services for North Fork Area Transit (NFAT). NFAT will accept proposals from accounting firms to provide auditing services.

All proposals must be submitted by July 24th, 2025, at 4:00 pm. This is a Federal Aid project, and the selected Consultant will be required to follow applicable Federal, State and Local requirements and procedures. All proposal responses should be submitted electronically.
