North Fork Area Tranist has been notified by the State of Nebraska Department of Transporation that funding for are transit companies has been reduced by 30% for the coming fiscal year. As a result of this funding decrease, North Fork Area Transit will be changing its Telelift hours of operation and the service area. Commencing July 1, 2025 services will be restricted to the city limits of the City of Norfolk, with exception of the Wayne route. Operating hours will be from 7 am to 5 pm on Monday through Saturday; 8 am through 2 pm on Sunday.

All rides will now be on a first come, first serve basis. Rides must be reserved 24 hours in advance of when your ride is needed. Call 402-379-4595 to reserve a ride or contact NFAT at the office located at 307 Prospect Ave., Norfolk.

This reduction in hours and serve area is necessary in order to continue to fulfill our mission to provide safe, efficient, affordable public transportation to the area residents and visitors in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
